mathletics

             Mathletics Partition puzzle

Today I am making a blog post of my mathletics. I am working on addition and subtraction. The activity I am working on is Partition puzzle. It is a bit tricky but I get it. here are some screenshots of my work.

And this is after I put the answers in.

    1. yep, whats the theory behind it?

    2. Many ways to solve this:
      Diamond on top and bottom must be equal: (6)
      2 circles on top must add up to 6 as well (5+1)
      4 circles in the middle also must add up to 6 (0+1+4+1)
      Some puzzles will be more complicated. In that case:
      2 circles on the very left and very right must add up to the bottom half of the diamond (0+1 = 1)
      2 inner circles in the middle must add up to the top half of the diamond (1+4=5)
